CRÉATIVE BILL OF RIGHTS

OUR COMMITMENT TO CRÉATIVES

At CRÉATEUR Gallery, we believe Créatives are not inventory, commodities, or content to be consumed. They are the creators of culture, the storytellers of communities, and the visionaries who shape how we experience the world.

The Créative Bill of Rights serves as our commitment to every creative we work with and the principles that guide our exhibitions, partnerships, and programming.

1. THE RIGHT TO OWNERSHIP

Créatives retain full ownership of their creative work at all times.

Participation in a CRÉATEUR Gallery exhibition does not transfer ownership of artwork, creative work, concepts, designs, intellectual property, or creative assets to CRÉATEUR Gallery or any exhibition partner unless expressly agreed to in writing.

2. THE RIGHT TO COPYRIGHT

Créatives retain full copyright and intellectual property rights to their work.

Créatives maintain control over how their work is reproduced, licensed, sold, or otherwise used beyond the limited permissions granted for exhibition promotion and documentation.

3. THE RIGHT TO 100% OF CREATIVE WORKS PRICE

Créatives retain 100% of their creative works listed retail price provided by the Créative for CRÉATEUR Gallery Gala and exhibitions.

CRÉATEUR Gallery is compensated through curatorial services, venue partnerships, sponsorships, and cultural programming––not through commissions on Créative’s works.

We believe artists should receive the full financial benefit of the value they create.

4. THE RIGHT TO ATTRIBUTION

Créatives have the right to be properly credited for their work.

Whenever reasonably possible, creative work shall be accompanied by:

Créative name
Work title
Medium
Relevant Creative information

Marketing and promotional materials will strive to accurately represent artists and their contributions.

5. THE RIGHT TO TRANSPARENCY

Créatives have the right to clear and honest communication.

CRÉATEUR Gallery will provide transparency regarding:

Exhibition expectations
Event details
Partner involvement
Promotional opportunities
Financial arrangements
Deadlines and responsibilities

6. THE RIGHT TO RESPECTFUL REPRESENTATION

Créatives have the right to be represented professionally and respectfully.

CRÉATEUR Gallery will not knowingly misrepresent a Créative’s work, story, identity, intentions, or professional background.

Créatives will not be used solely as marketing tools, promotional assets, or sponsorship leverage without meaningful participation and acknowledgment.

7. THE RIGHT TO OPPORTUNITY

Créatives deserve access to meaningful opportunities for growth and visibility.

CRÉATEUR Gallery is committed to creating pathways for:

Exhibitions
Partnerships
Publications
Community engagement
Professional development
Audience building

Our role is to create opportunities, not gatekeep them.

8. THE RIGHT TO FAIR TREATMENT

Créatives have the right to equitable treatment regardless of:

Career stage
Education
Representation status
Background
Personal identity
Social following
Commercial success

Creative merit, professionalism, and alignment with the exhibition vision will guide curatorial decisions.

9. THE RIGHT TO SAFE AND PROFESSIONAL EXHIBITION PRACTICES

Créatives have the right to expect that their work will be handled responsibly and professionally.

CRÉATEUR Gallery will exercise reasonable care in:

Creative work handling
Installation
Transportation coordination
Exhibition management

Créatives will be informed of insurance responsibilities and exhibition logistics in advance.

10. THE RIGHT TO COMMUNITY

Créatives have the right to belong to a creative ecosystem built on collaboration rather than competition.

CRÉATEUR Gallery seeks to foster connections between Créatives, collectors, businesses, cultural organizations, and communities that create lasting value beyond a single exhibition.

11. THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD

Créatives have the right to provide feedback regarding their exhibition experience.

CRÉATEUR Gallery welcomes constructive feedback and is committed to continually improving how we support creative professionals.

12. THE RIGHT TO CREATIVE INDEPENDENCE

Créatives retain the right to determine:

Pricing of their work
Future exhibitions
Representation agreements
Licensing opportunities
Career direction

Participation in a CRÉATEUR Gallery exhibition does not restrict a Créative’s ability to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

OUR PROMISE

CRÉATEUR Gallery exists to champion creatives by creating opportunities, cultivating connections, and expanding access to meaningful audiences.

We believe curators should be compensated for the opportunities they create and the experiences they design.

We believe Créatives should be compensated for the work they create.

By separating curatorial compensation from creative work commissions, we strive to build a more equitable, sustainable, and Créative-centered model for creative exhibition and cultural engagement.

This is our commitment. This is the standard we hold ourselves to. This is the foundation of CRÉATEUR Gallery.
